Hi
I just loaded all my JPG's onto my iMac today. I am having trouble with PhotoShop. When I bring up a file it is smaller in PhotoShop than the original file. When I bring up the same file in iPhoto is looks like it should. On the same file - in iPhoto it is 396x528 in PhotoShop it is 270x360 I'm stumped here. Any help greatly appreciated. thanks! Chris |

I do not use iphoto, so I cannot comment on how an image appears in one versus the other. When you have the image opened in (you say elements in the title but photoshop in the text of your message) is it at 100%, 50%? What size are you looking at? The dimensions of the image should not change from one application to another, where are you getting your 396x528 or 270x360 numbers from?

I just looked at a JPG that is a 1 megabyte file and opens huge in iPhoto (Apples image viewer). When I open this same file in Photoshop it is a 44K file and at 100% it is just 3x5 inches. Basically a big "thumbnail". I'm guessing it's a setting somewhere, but danged if I can find it ! thanks, Chris |

I think you may want to search your harddrive for another file with the same name. iphoto makes its own thumbnails for all images (if I remember correctly)...'
Open up finder and type in the file name and see if two pop up. Let me know. |

You are Da Man !! Two did pop up. I clicked on each one. One of them opened up to the full size pic. The other one said basically "No, this file is in the trash, you have to restore it first". So I emptied the "trash" and everything works fine now. PhotoShop opens all my pics perfectly. thanks a million !!!! Chris |
