    Scanning documents?
Tried scanning from print and view. Okay. Info tells me it scanned the document. My question is:
Where is the pic of the document or whatever I scanned? Where does it get stored? How do I retrieve it and view it?

First time I tried scanning since I've had my iMac.

Check your preferences, I have my scanner set to scan to my desktop since I scan many different things then drop it in the file I want it.

docx - Thanks a lot. I used launch pad and sent scans to Pictures. Worked perfectly!
I was unable to get it to work by using, under Apple, print and scan.
I also tried scanning from Apple Preview, but have no Apple Preview program. I do have a Preview .App in my applications folder but clicking it does nothing. Is Preview an App you have to download separately?
    Thanks again.

In your Applications folder you should have Image Capture.
This should be all you need.

Preview is included as part of the OS. Here's some info on using Preview to scan. I think it's from an older version of the OS but the process is the same.
