    Question iphoto
How can I get rid of duplicate photos? I drag them to trash but they keep multiplying. 400 odd photos in iphoto but they appear as over a thousand. What will make them go away?

    Specs:
    Mid-2012 MBP (16GB, 1TB HD), Monoprice 24-inch second monitor, iPhone 5s 32GB, iPad Air 2 64GB
If you're dragging them to trash you're doing it all wrong. iPhoto has its own trash, just select a photo and press the delete key (or right-click and choose "move to trash" if you prefer).

You can also buy and download the $8 Duplicate Annihilator (which is strictly for iPhoto dupe cleaning) or pay $10 and get the Gemini duplicate program, which hunts for duplicate files of all types.

I linked to it in my post. Just click on the words "Duplicate Annihilator."
