Hey all,
I want to get back into editing photos and video. I used to use PS all the time but I don't think I need the whole CS program because I am not a pro and it is crazy expensive. I've been reading up on PSE but wanted to know what everyone thinks. Since I am familiar with PS I am thinking it would be a short learning curve.

Also, I used to use AVID (standalone system...I am a broadcast journalist in the Air Force) and have never used Premier but I hear it is pretty good. Adobe sells PSE10 and Premier for a $150 packaged deal. Thoughts (I know this is the photo section but the two are related for what I am looking to do)?

Thanks!

Bob

I like PSE and use it with Aperture. Have never used full Photoshop due to cost.

Of course, I know everything . . . I just can't remember it all at once.

Thanks, Razormac. Do you have to use PSE with another program or is it a standalone? I used to be really good with PS but I can't justify the price anymore (I used it on a PC).

PSE is stand alone, but Aperture and iPhoto work well in combination with it.

Of course, I know everything . . . I just can't remember it all at once.

PSE is going to be 'fairly' intuitive if you're used to Ps. There will be some learning curve, but it'll be pretty minor. It can, indeed, do most things that the vast majority of users would need.
