That's definitely been lifted from a US cartoon.

He dresses like a mid westerner, has a left hand drive truck that looks like a US model.

He also owns both a handgun and a shotgun, a rare occurrence - well legally anyway.

And lastly, he sits in front of the TV eating chips. I'm not saying that Brits dont eat chips in front of the TV, but we dont eat them out of a bag, there are crisps. Chips are what you buy hot, wrapped in paper and are chunky fries.

Apart from all of the above, a typically elderly British guy

This one?! Sorry I hadn't seen that before now.

That was a joke. Hence the winky face. I was picking up on the language used in Bob's picture, insisting that no one here really talks like that, but it was nothing more than a joke. As was Bob's picture.

Apologies if I offended you, that wasn't my intention.

Fair enough, I'll remove my comment if it offends. But it was intended in the same light as the original post.

Apologies.

EDIT: Appears I can't edit it, would a Mod be so gracious as to remove my offending post, please? Ta.

Agreed. Although it could certainly read like an insult, the comment was surely made in jest.
