I took a drive in the rain this morning in the hopes that I'd get to try out my new Tokina 11-16mm F/2.8 lens for my Nikon D7000. I actually had this shot in mind before I bought the lens. It allows me to walk right up to the handrail to get everything in one shot. No need to stitch frames together.

My wife and I were right there 6 years ago next month. Our one and only trip to Oregon.
Of course, I know everything . . . I just can't remember it all at once.

1/15" second shutter speed. I braced my body against the front railing.

It's just a 45 mile ride to Multnomah Falls from my apartment. There's an incredible amount of beauty within a 50-70 mile radius of my home.

I hope you had a chance to check out a few of the natural wonders this area offers. Once you've seen the area you'll always want to return. 6 months ago puts you in our prettiest weather season. I'm sure you were comfortable, cool and dry. You may have also noticed that we have few bugs here, a blessing compared to other parts of this country.

My wife and I took a ten day road trip through Oregon. We loved it! We went right up the center of Oregon to Astoria, then drove the whole coastal route back to San Francisco, Ca.

That's because I went back and edited out the droplet. This forum keeps the ability to edit active for a long time. Thank you for the positive feedback.

I was wrong, it was 8 years not 6 years ago we visited.
Here is one from the parking area. Sorry about the glare, did my best to shield with my hand. ![]() This is approaching the bridge at the upper falls base.
