before i switched to a mac, there was this nifty program called the virtual dub. anybody knows of the FREE mac equivalent?

It would help if we knew what Virtual Dub did...

I try to Command+Shift+/ when I can.

ah okay
i want to make gifs
this website teaches you how
but its for windows and the program to get the wanted scene is virtualdub, read the heading under what virtualdub does.
so can someone please tell me how i can do so with my mac?
