-iPhoto data base gets corrupted. -HD gets corrupted -HD fails all leads to a big ![]() I keep all my photos in my pictures folder, many of which I keep in iPhoto too, as well as my 2 external HD backups. 1 with time machine and 1 with carbon copy cloner. Photos are usually precious to most people, and it's not like the old days where we all have photo albums and negatives in safe storage. |

+1 for redundant backups of photos. Like 6string stated, photos are heirlooms for some folks. I'm paranoid enough about losing photos that I even have most burned to DVDs for safe keeping.
