    iPhoto Library Size
My iPhoto library shows that I am using up 64.75 GB on disk.

However, when I go into iPhoto, select all of my photos and look at its size - it is only around 18 GB.

Why is there such a disconnect???

Have you had a lot more photo's on there before, but deleted them?
If so they could well be in the iPhoto trash bin if you haven't emptied it, and therefore still on your HD though not part of iPhoto as such.

Almost certainly the iPhoto trash (which is separate from the main Trash) is the culprit. I see this time and time again with clients -- they are not aware that they need to empty the iPhoto (or iMovie) trash.
