Typing on a path. You can do it in Photoshop, Illustrator, and inDesign.

Thanks to both of the people who replied. At present I don't know which program to use. I wondered if there was something already in my existing programs I could use. I don't have Photoshop, Illustrator or inDesign. The only picture editing programs I have are Seashore, PhotoImpression and, of course, the apps that come with my Mac. Is there a free program out there that would do what I want?

Thanks Louishen
I had already installed Inkscape but haven't got to grips with it yet. I am in the process of trying out Scribus. Thanks for your recommendations.

You can also download a free, 30-day trial of Photoshop or Illustrator from Adobe.

I prefer Illustrator, but you do as CrimsonRequiem stated..

Layer's Magazine has a pretty good tutorial for something like this:

Type on a Path in Adobe Illustrator | Layers Magazine
