iPhoto library transfer to external HD

Spent 3 days setting up a Netgear stora and transferring libraries. iPhoto would not see the transferred library on the stora so I had to create a new library and re-import images. There was obviously a file created by Faces, because my library jumped from 14,000 images to 44,000 images, now including 30,000 head and shoulder thumbnails.
Any suggestions on the best way to deal with this?

HAHA you gotta love Faces for just that silly thing it does Grrrr

Mark welcome and the only thing i could suggest would to get some sort of *find duplicates* application to try and weed through all the new thumbnails .... Mind you i did have this happen to me and it was a long night on the Whiskey but i finally deleted all those useless thumbnails

sorry to be the barer of the not so nice news ....

As for what sort of File Duplicate Apps that are out there, a friendly google might help ...
