I'm having some issues with images in MS office 2008. For some reason when I insert pictures (clipart, from file, or dragging) the box where the image is shows up but no image. If I do print preview or print the document the picture is there but no image. I'd like to see the image because when creating publications I like to see if it's the right size, shape, etc.

In this example I received this attachment. When I opened it in word I could see nothing unless I printed the file. However, I opened the same document in open office and i could see it just fine.

Is there a setting I'm missing in Word? I've changed the view back and forth. I'm stuck. Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks

morning,

Under Preferences then View

uncheck the "show picture's placeholders" option and see if that makes a difference.

Hope that helps.

Am having the same problem with clip art not showing up in the document in Microsoft Word 2008 for Mac, however, when I go to Preferences/View, there is no item or checkbox that mentions Picture Holders!!! Any idea why?

You go into preferences first.

Apple menu > Preferences > View

I have pictures too if you can't find it I'll post them.

Cheers!
