Recently my PB G4 hard drive crashed but fortunately I had a backup on an external drive. I have moved the iPhoto images from the external drive to a new iMac running OS10.6.2.
The images moved ok to the new iPhoto app however all the image titles, descriptions and input information for images did not transfer. Is there a separate folder that contains that information that I need to drag into the new directory? |

If you had a copy of the entire iPhoto library (and all the subfiles) on your external, then all you have to do is to copy the entire library back onto your iMac. If all you had was the photos themselves, then you did not have a complete backup of everything that iPhoto needs, and your titles, etc are probably gone.
