Dock Customization

Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone knew how to customize your dock/get it up along the side of the screen. Thanks

you beat me to it.
You can also hold Shift and drag the separator to the left/bottom/right of the screen. Just discovered that the other day.

You can also "pin" te dock at the top/bottom, left/right of the screen, if that's what you're looking for.

Tip: pinning the Dock in OS X

Or if you dont like using terminal, you can use the app Docker and get it HERE and make your dock highly customisable. Change size if icons, change dock appearance and also move it to left/right/centre of either side.
