vector files editing question

I need software that supports vector editing on apple that is not so expensive, that Adobe illustrator is out of my range any suggestions?

Mac Specs: 2012 13" MBP (2.5 i5, 8GB)

You could try Inkscape. It's free and OSS. Be careful to read the requirements for running it on the Mac - this can be found on the download page.

Thanks for that but I get this when I try to download

Remove the " at the end .
