whats difference iLife that comes with mac and the $79 iLife on apple.com?

Bought a new 2.4Ghz macbook and it has iLife '08 software. Is this the same thing as the $79 iLife software found on Apple.com?

Lil question. Does iLife come with the restore discs or if i do an erase and install i loose it?

iLife is a set of software applications, so is a separate install if you buy it separately.

However, if it came with your mac it will be restored by doing a restore from your original disks that came with the mac
