I used PS Elements 6 on Vista. IPhoto is OK but I want more.

What do you suggest for my MacBook Pro FALL "08 unibody?

Ammetuer photographer with Rebel XSi.

Are you a pixel editor?

if so get PS

Are you an image adjuster? (i.e. contrast, white balance etc)

if so get Aperture (and you will also benefit from great image management)

I've been shooting in Raw the last two years and converting in light room. Before that I used Elements. Last week I went up to the pc (my wife still uses it) and tried to edit a photo in elements, it was not worth my time. Once you learn Light room it's great. Light room does not do all the things photo shop will do though.

I just ordered both. Aperture for most edits (hopefully) and elements for the filters i.e. doing watercolors with photo's.

I shoot RAW and have a lot of photo's so Aperture will be for photo management and most edits, But when you need more editing power, then Elements 6 will do things that Aperture cannot.
