Ways to create an interactive cd without using flash

Basically, I need to put 3 power point presentations, 1 movie and a pdf document into a cd, and then I need to create like an interactive menu to navigate through the contents, but without using Flash, since I don't know how to use it.
The interactive menu should kick-in first.
It's like what I do with idvd, really, but I need to put into the cd more and diversified content than that idvd lets me add.
So, is there a way to create such a cd without using either flash or idvd?
I have no money to buy expensive software like Apple's Final Cut or DVD Studio Pro or whatever.
Are there any free applications I can use to get the task done?
