I need a simple transfer program that will take photos off of a memory card plugged into USB hub and create a folder within my pictures folder on my iMac. Any suggestions would be welcome. I don't want to use iPhoto or another large application. On the PC I had a great one called "Transfer" that was freeware and did an automatic transfer.

if its plugged into your usb hub, surely it shows up as an external disc image? you can open it up and import the pics from there

Mac is like a car, keep clean and up to date and it will give you many hours of good driving

Of course I can, but I prefer an automatic system, like the program called Transfer for the pC.
