Having problems downloading the X11 that the download suggested. Should I be upgrading to the 10.5.? Was told couple months ago that I should stay with the version I have. I have the 3 disks that came with m MBpro and it has the X11 on there but says I need the 10.5 version to open file. Thanks for any help. I have the leopard 10.4.11 now......

X11 is on your Tiger install disc. Just look under the options or extras folder. If not you can download it and install. Make sure all peripherals are not connected. If no joy look at this link for downloading and installing on Tiger:-

Thank You.....

Now that I have finally figured out that I actually have the "TIGER 10.4.11 " version on my MBPRO. I have done the install of X11 ( from the grey 10.4.10 install disk) and I am still getting nothing. Sorry for the simple questions, but the local mac seminars aren't much of a help.

I was given several OS disks upon purchase, and of course since the first one I grabbed said leopard OS X 10.5 .....I just assumed that was the one that was on my unit.

Anyways , when I dbl clk on the gimp icon it comes up in the toolbar for a second then disappears. No error message or anything, couple bounces then gone. Thanks again David
