I know about Primatte, but was hoping not to spend so much $$$.

I used Corel's Knockout 2 on my PC, but it is not supported on my iMac with CS2.

Anyone know of a good (read: low-cost & effective) alternative?

photoshop has a built-in "knock-out" feature too. under FILTER>EXTRACT. kind of confusing at first, but it does a fairly decent job.
