pages file to be opened on windows

Hi i have a mac and use pages to make documents. How can i open the files or documents saved on pages when you work on windows?????? because i have some documents made by pages and im trying to send them to a friend that has windows and hes telling me that he cant open them. is there a way to open them pls??????????
