Have you tried plugging the phone into the macbook?
Have you tried bluetooth linking between the phone and the macbook?

thats certainly where I'd start..

First came a shuffle. Then an 8gb 3rd gen nano.
Next a macbook.
Then an Ipod Touch. And a Nikon D300. Not an Apple but gets used with the macbook

On your display, top right, there is the bluetooth symbol. Just to the left of the volume and wifi signal strength.
Just tap on that and you should get a drop down menu with options to beam file, connect etc etc.
Try beaming the file with the phone in discoverable mode.
it should open a new box and show your phone in there.

Notice how many times I say should ;o)
