Hi,
I recently re-installed my operating system and haven't got a copy of iPhoto which was bundled with my mac.

I thought I'd be able to download the free version as I Just use the free iPhoto to organise my photos however I can't find a download for this.

Any references to the free version of iLife 06 redirect me to the paid download of the latest version.

I'm running 10.4 PPC

Are the older versions available?

These are just sites of mine that I run:
Frisbee Fodder - Geek Web Comic
78 Web Design
Olive Oil Soaps

There's no such thing as a free version of iPhoto. You must be confused with the free download of iMovie HD (i.e. iMovie 06) for those who own iLife 07

You'll have to extract the iPhoto app from your install disks, or buy the newer version over the counter.
