Boss is looking for a new one since the case for her 35mm broke and can't get a replacement. All she's found is in the $8-900 range and really only wants to spend about $3-400. Just likes to take a few pics when she goes out. She goes diving once or twice and year and moving towards 70.

Any recommendations out there? Oh, and says the deepest she typically goes is about 120 ft.

Or maybe a housing for a Canon Rebel.

Did she have a look at this ? She could buy a point & shoot and a housing. Underwater Photography.

Also for the Canon Digital Rebel EOS 300D, she'd probably have to look up eBay. Saw the Ikelite #6870 is discontinued. It was pretty expensive too.

Ewa-Marine Underwater Housing for Canon Digital SLR Cameras. Less expensive, this one.

Thanks, MHC. That last one looks like it could be right up her alley.

Found the Ikelite housings, had no idea they would run that kind of money - ouch.

Helped me find a place that has the Canon housings for about 1/3 off too.

She's gonna have to do something quick now, cause she's going next Wed.

did you catch this one? Reg. Price: $1499.99 on sale for $99.99 - you save $1400.00 - naturally they're out of stock....

And, of course, you probably already know, I still have to spread it around some more.

A lot of digital Canon point and shoots have their own underwater housing unit. They can cost $200.

ah, i wish i'd seen this earlier... have a looksee at the olympus cameras... i bought (ok my lovely dad bought it for me for qualifying as an architect) an olympus sp350 in the summer 2006 and i bought (me this time) a housing at the following diveshow in birmingham (not a special deal) As it was the whole set up is reasonable ££$$ for what you get ... a 'compact' digital camera that 's more advanced than the cheapy ones but below DSLR (and ofcourse much cheaper). Usefully the camera has several pre-sets for all sorts of type of picts including 3 underwater modes and does manual settings for whitebalance, f-stops, aperture/shutter priority etcetc enough to keep most amateur photographers happy as larry.
Now i'm sure since then olympus probably have a newer model... but the good thing is they also make housings rated to 40m.
