I am trying to get away from Windows altogether, and until I can find a suitable application that will fit my needs, I'm stuck. I really want to wipe my bootcamp partition.

The one I currently use with windows is VisionApp vRD, and it works perfectly in Windows, but they just don't offer anything for the Mac OS.

Basically what I am looking for is an application that when I open it up will have a pane of some sort that will allow me to save RDP connections in a directory tree type of format.

So that when I need to log into say one of my Domain Controllers all I have to do is expand the Domain Controllers folder and click on the domain controller that I need to log into. It would then in turn launch a remote desktop connection in a tabbed window. By doing it in a tabbed window it allows you to be able to control more than one RDP session at a time, just by going back and forth between tabs.

We just rec'd our iMac the other day and I find that I am unable to watch dvd's (purchased ones) without it skipping/lagging and then just freezing. With the DVD Player App, it gave me Error 69902. I also have downloaded and tried the VLC and that too was unsuccessful.

I was watching this specific dvd on our PC without any problems. Does anyone have any insight to this? Is it the streaming level or something? I spend a LOT of time infront of my computer and love to watch something while I work so this now silent environment is makin' me nuts!

It has worked fine but yesterday for some reason when i signed in it simply had Mitch as my display name.
I changed it, but when i opened it again it had reverted back.

After some fiddling about i found out that whatever i changed my Live Profile first name to, this was what appeared as my Messenger Display name.

It is very frustrating and cannot find a cause.

Any ideas? With the drive hooked by USB to my MacBook Pro time machine works fine with it. I don't want to keep it hooked up all the time. I have the USB external drive hooked to my Windows 7 desktop and have it shared (yes I have Macdrive 8 so my PC will see it) and can see and write to the drive from my MacBook wirelessly. But if I try to use that drive for Time Machine (I can choose the right drive because I configured to show unsupported network volumes) I get the error: The Backup Disk image "thenameofmyvolume.sparsebundle" could not be created (error 45).

and it still won't work.

ive been using msn messenger for almost a yr and i recently started to use adium a bit more frequently.
this problem came up today and i'm not sure how to fix it.
everytime i sign on msn messenger my display name becomes my email address, no matter how many times i change it, it automatically defaults to my email address each time i sign on.
the same thing is happening to adium also.

any idea how to fix it (other than never sign off again)?
