Okay I know we've got problems with people submitting threads that have already been submitted. I know I've done it too.

I was on Ubuntu Forums the other day and anytime you enter a new thread...when you start entering the title it comes up with 5-6 related posts based on your thread title. I thought that would be really cool. I don't know what software they use. But if its possible, that feature would be really handy.

Mods you might want to go over to Ubuntu Forums and check it out.

If this results in the number of "New [insert product] is out" type of threads to go down, I love this idea.

If it's possible, I hope it gets implemented because it is absolute genius

Whooh! If this is the right place, it runs on vBulletin (a more recent version, though) as well! Imagine that!

Must be a plug-in or some type of add-on to implement this.

Yea. I thought this would be great for us I just wasn't sure what they were running over there at ubuntuforums.org, but it would save a lot of people a lot of time wasted.

I do hope the mods check this out.

Sweet. Do you know if vBulletin has the ability to do it on the software we are running?

It is not a core feature of vBulletin, no. There may be a plugin available.
