Is there a reason the Calendar is stuck in 2006?

I was just going to have a look if anyone else shared my birthday - I clicked on Calendar and there was the month of December 2006 I couldn't see a way of moving the calendar forward a month. As you can see from my screen shot I am unable to select 2007 from the drop down list.

I guess I'm not the only person that gets this?

2006 wasn't a terrible year for me - but I'm not so keen on living through it again

Oh and clicking on a month from the previous year loads a blank screen with the following message:
