Forum Names In Uppercase

WHY ARE THE FORUM NAMES ON MAC-FORUMS.COM IN ALL-CAPS? ESPECIALLY GIVEN APPLE'S PENCHANT FOR UNUSUAL CAPITALIZATION. CAPS LOCK KEY GET STUCK?. MOST OF THEM LOOK FINE BUT SOME OF THEM...."iMAC AND MAC MINI?"

iMAC?

And while we're at it..."POWERMAC?" The name "Power Mac" has never been one word, or even conjoined --"PowerMac"-- so even in caps it should've been "POWER MAC."

Interesting stylistic decisions on the part of the forum organizers, I thought.

I personally like all caps when it comes to titles, its just not as easy on the eye when its like a some really really long post that somebody forget they have the caps lock key on... i mean your little paragraph didn't even bother me that it was in all caps but if you went all out and typed 4 more paragraphs that lenght in caps, then it would bother me.. and the i in iMAC on the forum names.. i guess how you can find that annoying.. and I always thought powermac was one word.. shows how much I know, lol but i guess for some part your right... never thought about it tho.

The forum names have always been in caps, it's just the way it's been. No particular rhyme or reason. We've never thought about changing it because no one has ever brought it up.

It's not really that important...
Even Apple themselves doesn't seem to be very consistent about how to write their models names.
On their site, like you stated, it's written "Power Mac"...on the old 7600 I had on the case it was "PowerMac 7600"...go figure...

As the forum names have always been all-caps (at least since I am here), why should the model names been written differently?

Well, maybe I simply got used to it, so I didn't even notice... :cool:

P.S. If there are errors in what I write, including capitalisation, please keep in mind that English is not my native language... :p

It was just something I noticed, and wondered about. It's not a big issue or anything, just wondering.

Of course we care™. Really when suggestions are made there are several things we consider:

- The difficulty of implementing it (or reversing it if it goes poorly).
- The amount of people that want that suggestion
- Is it worth the time/effort for the anticipated payoff
- Is there a specific reason why we do things the way we do

But I can say we seriously consider all member feedback.

yea it does look nice, i had a difficult time finding a forum name today, i think it was because of the lack of caps which i didnt even notice at the time.

maybe a lil bump up in size?
