I would like to see it come back, and I think there's a consensus on how we want to re-implement it amongst several of the staff, but no final word as of yet.

The MoTM program is an integral part of the community, but we're also looking to ways to improve it both from a community involvement standpoint, but also improving the perks for becoming member of the month.

Once we have all that worked out, we'll rollout an improved version of the program.

Guess a lot of the blame rests with me for comments on having thousands of members and then each month less than twenty vote for MOTM. Embarrassing for those nominated when five or so good members are nominated and eighteen members vote in all. So much so declined nominations in the end.

How to improve member support? Very difficult as so many members seem to be intersted in extremely specific forums only.

Would be interesting to know, how many views it got each month. Was it the regulars, regular in the forum ?? Or the general public.

For me without specifically searching for it, didnt come about it until i saw it at the top of the list.
In essence was there enuf advertising for it ??

To be fair the mods really pushed it with regular posts, particularly towards the end of the voting period. If we get only twenty votes, poor thing is better off out of its misery.
