In the short time that i have been reading the networking area, the one recurring issue that crops up is lack of information.
Here is a list of topics that can well play a part in the Q & A routine:
Surely others will be able to improve on this but to me it seems a good starting point;
Service - DSL or ADSL or Cable
Modem or Modem/Router
Wireless or Ethernet
Computer G3 G4 G5 Intel
OS in some areas Tiger is a bit different to Leopard and Panther has other limitations.

If wireless then
Wireless - Apple or non Apple
Other units on LAN
802.11b or 802.11g or 802.11n
Mod - you might want to improve on this and shift it elsewhere.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I think the first thing that springs to mind is that we strive to be an open community, and not solely a technical support resource. Although that is the topic of that forum, I don't think we want to have such rigid rules about posting structure.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!
