Top right of the page, click private message.

You can either access them via your profile page or simply click the "Private Messages" link at the top of any page you are on.

At the top of the forum page (right corner) you'll see an underlined link that states "Private Messages" with the total number and unread number. Just click on that link to read any private messages you have.

Another way is the Quick Links in the bar up top under the Mac Forums Logo and it will drop down and select Private Messages.
