its taking a lot of time clicking on the 'home' button and then my desired section, so i recommend having a drop menu off another option in the menu bar, which leads directly to the main sections- eg. notebook computers, desktops, etc.

Well at the bottom right, you have the Forum Jump drop down menu. Did you mean something similar ?
