I wonder if there's any way to make the thread more prominent. Maybe alongside or temporarily instead of the Mac-Forums brief Box top-of-the page?

Good idea, I'm sure the Admins can think of a way of making this thread visible everywhere..

Well, every month, I throw a 'notification' up inviting all to participate. It even has a handy link that takes you right to the thread. Of course, a user can dismiss that notification, but everybody should see it (at least once).

I'm not sure how much more in-your-face we want to get about it.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

Fascinating. I appreciate that feedback - must be something wrong in my settings.

Need to upgrade to a newer skin - only the original 2 skins do not show the announcements.
They could be going away soon.

Try the 3.8.4 skins if you prefer the older look or the 4-18-13 Test skin.

You are correct, the forum announcements are not blocked by an ad blocker.

The Test skin is now deprecated. I'd recommend you flip,it over to 3.8.6 or 'use forum default'.

And the announcements have a convenient 'X' next to them, if you click that 'X' the first time you see the announcement, it never shows to you again.
