Hi guys
I have recently encountered this problem while saving file on my TextEdit.
When I save the file in my "Document" directory, I can't find in in my finder.
Is there some other document directory exist for TextEdit only?
I even search the saved file name on my HDD. It doesn't seem to find any file.
However, when I check the recent file on TextEdit, I am able to open the file.
Does anyone know what's going on?

Thanks..

There is no seperate directory for TextEdit files. You can save it anywhere you want. It is probably due to an indexing problem. You can try this:Spotlight: How to re-index folders or volumes.

You can also do the following:

1. Open the file again from the "Open Recent" menu in the file menu.
2. Right click the file name in the title bar. This will show you where it is on your computer. Using the screenshot below as an example, you can see that my text document is on my Desktop.
