Feeler: Black Macbook Model MA701LLA

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0
120 GB HD
2 GB RAM
Superdrive
Tiger

Shows some shiny wear on palm rests, the track pad, and some keys. There are some scratches on the bottom. Runs well.

Purchased October 2007 from J&R. Shipped Nov 1, 2007.

I need to sell this laptop, because I just bought a 13" MBP. What would be a fair price?

Thanks,

Jeff

Sure does...I just sold one on eBay for $675.

But to be honest...I wouldn't be surprised if that value went down by $50+ bucks real soon due the most recent update of the low end MacBook.

I've also seen them sell on Craig's List for as little as $400!

I will probably try ebay and set the starting price at the lowest amount I can live with. Higher than $400, though. Don't think I'd be happy if that's all I got for it.

Here is a quote from the FAQ section of Mac2sell:

"Where does the displayed price come from ?
Among other parameters, our calculation is based on the specific configuration, on Apple's prices, local taxes and used Macs market in the different countries we support. It explains the price differences between countries in the euro currency zone."

Personally I don't always agree with their prices...but Mac2sell does give you an estimate or "ballpark" number to work with. It's always possible to get higher or lower selling prices then what Mac2sell says on Craig's List, eBay, or private sales.

Hope this helps,

- Nick

Yes. I checked again.

Also, according to Mactracker, the only Macbook with Core Duo was the first one. After that, they are all Core 2 Duo. Mine is the second model, which was announced in late 2006.

No, not yet.

I am living in Mexico and have the computer with me here. I will post it for sale in the US when I visit there in mid-December.

To be clear, this Macbook is a US model that I purchased from J&R when I was in the States 2 years ago.
