First let's recap the rules that we started out with in August:
  • Each member can post one photo in this thread each month.
  • The photo needs to be taken in the month covered in the thread title.
  • The photo cannot be larger than 800x600.
  • Please include the camera you took the picture with and the date of the picture in the description.
  • This thread is about sharing your photo not discussing technique, opinions of what is art, or to make disparaging comments on someone's picture. If you would like to discuss those things, please start a new thread.

I love Chicago in the wintertime. The snow is so beautiful when it first falls, before it turns into sludgy ickyness.

My fist post here may as well be a photo, forced to go digital a year or so ago and ended up buying a mac even though at the time I didn't have a preference for one platform or the other.

http://www.pbase.com/image/53110789/original.jpg

D2h/50mm 1.4 at 1600 ISO f2

So glad I did, its been smooth sailing, I have sense converted 2 other photographers and am now on my 3rd mac (home, studio and portable) if I dont stay out the Apple store and keep playing with Aperture its looking ike a G5 will be here soon

regards
Ray

Here is one from a photoshoot earlier this month. Its hard to pick which images to show...
Taken December 6th at a friends studio. There was a main strobe directly above me, a hair light coming in from behind the model in the upper left of the image, and a background light with a blue gel on it.
