This is a picture of the Russian Navy tall-mast training ship Pallada from Vladivostok, leaving town. It's listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest sailing ship (top speed 18 knots).

I have many photos from its stay, including some brief time I spent onboard and a few shots of the young crew in their splendid Russian Navy uniforms, but I could only pick one so I figured a shot of it actually in motion would be best.

The boat itself is 108m (354.33 ft), counting the long bow it's 119m (390.4 ft).

I'll pm you about it. Don't want to take the thread too far off topic. But I'll do it a bit later. Need to do a bunch of stuff.

I could have almost cried over this one!

My wife and I were at a local resort last month (Mount Magazine) and I ran into a guy about to go Hang Gliding. I had never seen it up close and he agreed to let me shoot his flight.
Everything went well into about a third of the way through when I switched to my 70-300mm zoom. The last time I had used it was to shoot the Moon and even though I was shooting f8 and 200 ISO in Aperture priority on my Nikon D5000 when I changed lenses it defaulted to the previous setting on the lens (f22).
I shot about a dozen frames before I noticed; this one would have been my favorite other than the 1/160 shutter causing blur.

Of course, I know everything . . . I just can't remember it all at once.
