I was wondering, is there another way of spanning monitors instead of using a hack? I saw a PowerBook in an Apple Store which was connected to an Apple Cinema Display and it was spanning its monitors. Can you span monitors in Tiger, in a PowerBook, in an Apple Cinema Display? Are there new features? Can I span a monitor on my iMac without using a hack?

Only iBooks, emacs and iMacs (I think) have screen spanning crippled...
On all models it can be circumvented though. |

Spanning is using a second display to "extend" your desktop space. It can be set so the mouse moves seamlessly between them. This option is native with the Powermacs and the Powerbooks. All other models need a hack.
