hi i have this camcorder Canon ZR90 and i have a powerbook G4 12" 1.33GHZ
its not my camcorder its my friends but i want to connect it to my powerbook using a firewire cord. What cord do i buy? i have no idea if i need 4pin - 6pin or 6pin - 6pin and so forth. Also if i hook up my camcorder can i edit the footage using final cut express. I got this program from school for a good price since school discount rocks and i just editted various video files to get a feel for the program and i was converting a 50sec clip using quicktime conversion (i have no idea what conversion settings to pick) and it took an hour. is that normal? how do i make it faster. thank you. |

You need a 4 pin to 6 pin firewire cable. The 4 pin side will connect to the camera and the 6 pin will connect to the powerbook. Yes, you can offload and edit your movie in Final Cut Express.
