I just picked up an ATV 3 on the weekend, have it all hooked up now. I just tried to play one of the video's I took on my vacation but it only plays for a few seconds then the screen goes black.
I went through using my photo's and video's thru iTunes.

any suggestions?
thanks

Are you sure it's in an acceptable format? I had a bunch of .mov videos I shot on a FlipVideo recorder I ended up having to convert to .m4v using Handbrake. I then added them to iTunes and they streamed just fine. Just a thought. I can't add much without knowing more about the video you shot or how you are getting them to the ATV3.

I decided to get the new Mountain Lion to do the mirroring so I can play the vid's I recorded instead of having to use hand break.

Now when I do the mirroring which is great I want to play my movies that I have on dvd the screen on my laptop it plays but then when I do the mirroring the screen on my laptop goes checkered. Am I doing something wrong?

Not rushing to update. Will monitor community for any anomalies. Same with 10.8.2, already hearing complaints. No rush.
