With the latest version of Apple TV 2, can you jail break this device? What are some benefits from jail breaking the apple TV 2?

Look at ATV Flash. I have it loaded on my two ATV2's and also on my ATV1. I'm able to stream any format of video from my network drives. Love 'em so much I've ran network cable to all the bedrooms and have a 3rd ATV2 on order for the spare bedroom.

you can jailbreak the new software. If you install Plex, you can stream all types of movie files, not just mp4.
