I have the excellent Apple TV Mk. 1 version with the inbuilt 160gb hard drive.

HOW - do I gain access to the menu to adjust Volumes and put my videos, films and TV Shows into the right categories - anyone please ??

Live each day as it comes - it may be your last !?

It needs to be done via iTunes and then uploaded or streamed to the ATV 1. The ATV1 will show up as a device in iTunes and you can edit media already on it but it's generally easier to via iTunes.
