Yesterday I wanted to JB my ATV using GP RC6. I researched on the internet and found a great article. However, I could not made my ATV to enter the DFU mode. I am posting this thread for users facing issues while JB their ATV. Follow steps closely and you should be able to do it!!

Follow the article for download links and video:

Untethered Jailbreak Apple TV 2G 4.2.1 using Greenpois0n RC6 | iWS

Steps to enter DFU Mode:

1. plug in usb and power.
2. open GP.
3. hold menu + down until light blinks rapidly.
4. IMMEDIATELY stop pressing menu + down and start pushing menu + play until light blinks rapidly.
5. let go of buttons, and GP started into jailbreak on its own.

To be clear, I did NOT click ‘jailbreak’ in GP at all.

Hope this would help your users!!!

I'm curious, all I see is hype about GP and the new ATV, but what are these insane benefits?

To be fair I really haven't played around with many of the new "toys" but what is Nito tv? and Overview seems useless to me-- I'm a complete novice
Any info would be helpful
