I just got an ATV2 (ios 4.2.1). I would like the ability to stream programing and/or videos that are not solely apple encoded. It appears that the only current jailbreak for this requires a Mac w/ an Intel processor. I have a PowerPC (G5 w/ OSX 10.5.8) with no intention of getting a new one anytime soon. What are my options to be able to watch non-apple vids or possibly use a browser? Thx 4 the help

What do you mean by "soley Apple encoded"?

I have lots of media that was not encoded by Apple that plays on my ATV2.

I will be talking **Video** in general as talking about breaking the code of a DVD is illegal and not permitted in this forum . . . .
If you have taken a video with a camera and wish to watch it through your ATV then get yourself HandBrake and convert them to a format that is watchable on the ATV. If you use the preset ATV2 it will by default encode the video to .mp4 and so will be watchable on the ATV2

Cheers
