    Apple tv clicking noise
My 160gb appletv always make a clicking sound even on stand by. It's the harddrive but it is really annoying and noticeable. Probably does it every ten seconds. Is this normal? I've had it for 5 months do you think I could take it back in to apple store?

    Apple TV noise
My apple 160 gig makes a clicking noise bout every 10 seconds. I assume it's The hard drive. I've only had it about 5 months and it's really noticeable in my bedroom. Even on standby.
What can I do about it? Is this normal?
    Cheers

    Specs:
    20" Intel iMac 2.4 Ghz/3G Ram/320HD, Snow Leopard. PBook G4, 1.5Ghz/1.5 Ram/250 HD, Leopard 10.5.6.
As it's in warranty I'd take it and get it checked by Apple, especially if you have an Apple store nearby.
I suspect it's the hard drive spinning up and down, but it shouldn't click really.

Warranty inspection is a good option. The smaller 2.5" HDDs shouldn't generally make an audibly noticeable clicking sound when they are healthy.
