New Apple TV plays on PowerPC?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to decide if I should buy the old or new apple tv. I have a G5 PowerPc OSX 10.5.8. Does anyone know if this is too outdated to use the new apple tv with?

I have my ATV 2 streaming my large iTunes Library from my G5 with the same OS. Runs fine. Just make sure you have the latest version of iTunes. The ATV 2 runs much better than my old ATV 1 did.

Runs Great on my iMac 20" with the 2gig PPC Processor. running Leopard

I can be converting Movies on the Mac, downloading new movies, and surfing the web, all while the G/F is streaming Movies from Itunes to the Apple TV,

The biggest requirement is your wireless connection, I replaced my DLINK Wireless router with an Apple Air Port Extreme, and streaming is no longer an issues (Noticed with the DLink that the stream would sometimes shudder)
