Didn't Apple file a patent for a multi-touch trackpad awhile back?

At any rate, the slim laptop in the picture looks CG, the shadows are wrong. But heaven help my bank account if they actually release one

Mac Sites - down for reconstruction

It would really suck to accidentally hit the mouse button constantly with your hands; a major oversight of function and ugly for Apple.

The size of the track pad does not make any since.

i agree, will be completely impossible to type on.. although it doesn't look real, I am nervous that is what the real one will look like if such a thing is released.

Why not just take away the button completely and tap the pad to click something, 2-finger tap to right click?

My guess is that it is fake, at least I hope it is because I would never buy one with that honker of a mouse I would be mashing it while trying to type.

If that photo is real, that laptop is leik....really ugly in my opinion :/ It looks so horribly cluttered... Sure is small but that touchpad looks ridiculous on a device that small :/

iReplaced a PC.

Why people spend their time mocking up pictures like this boggles the mind...Obviously, Apple will not make a laptop where the entire form factor for the trackpad and button are just a stretched out version of their others. It's more like Apple to bring out the new laptop and there's nothing at all there. Then they demo it and the whole area is just a capacitive pad with touch gesture inputs etc
