@Levi

I'm confused.. I can't see anything that has changed with the macbook on the apple website apart from the fact that it's now shipping with Leopard...

Oh wait... don't tell me that was the update you were talking about

seriously was it?

bump!

sorry Levi I saw it on macRumours.

It seems they got rid of it, ?updated early by accident?

I noticed that there was no major redesign, only an update of intergrated graphics, and Santa Rosa Chip.

Did you see the updated MBPs? 2.6ghz...

Is it just me, or? I don't see a 2.6GHz MBP tbh.

Edit: I found out it's an option xD.

But still, I think a whole new line of portables would be a bad move. People are becoming accustomed to seeing white/black macbooks, and silver macbook pros. I just hope they don't do complete overhauls on the designs. If that were the case, naturally they would look fantastic because Apple made them, but what's with Apple's obsession with changing a product so frequently (the iPods to name but one). New chips and higher spec processors would be welcomed with arms wide open but I pray they don't completely change the designs.
Let me help you with this one, the reason the mbp and mb look diffrent is to draw a clear line between the two. mbp is much more expensive, and superior to its less expensive mb counterpart... It's rare to see any of the older versions of apples portable "laptops" because who wants to walk into a boardroom full of silver and aluminum with a white or black... everyone there knows... and in order to avoid such an embarrassing situation, the mbp is purchased to replace the previous mbp... Without a distinct design change of some sort, they loose out on the "for show" market... if mbp's were thick and had colorful plastic cases, there would be no need to update your mac for any reason other if you could benefit from the new product... That said, I hope they don't also because my mbp is nearly 3 months old -_-

I Can Has Mac! is an unknown at this point
Mac Specs: Iphone 8gig, inherited powerbook (beer+mac=power-brick)
I bet the penryn processors will be implemented using less power and making more performance
