you can totally see the mouse pointer..if it were touch screen why would there be a pointer?

The technology is easily available, if you have the money. http://www.trolltouch.com/pages/products/ibook.html

The only thing about this video is that its a MacBook Pro, and Troll Touch doesn't offer a MBP version. But there's no reason the same technology couldn't be retrofitted to a MBP. Still, that doesn't mean this particular video is real.

That's how touch screen mods work. They function as a mouse, so that tapping the screen simulates a click where you tapped.

Many ATMs are built this way now.

yeah, but the mouse cursor moves before he touches the screen sometimes and doesn't "jump" to the newly touched spot.

LOOK AT THE KEYBOARD you can see the shadows of his other hand a few times, when I am using a touch screen i don't use two handing aiming... anyone else?

Not only is the mouse pointer not supposed to move when you're simply hovering your finger over the screen (when you tap something on screen, the pointer jumps to that point, it doesn't slide across the screen), the Finder Cover Flow moved in the wrong direction when he flicked it. It's clearly a fake.

the beginning with the text is horrible, but once the computer turns into a 3d model, he really did do a nice job.

Call me old fashioned, but I don't like the idea of a touch computer. Don't get me wrong, I love the iPod Touch/iPhone. The idea of a touchable iMac is just... weird to me. Also, on screen typing would be weird.
