The technology is easily available, if you have the money. http://www.trolltouch.com/pages/products/ibook.html
The only thing about this video is that its a MacBook Pro, and Troll Touch doesn't offer a MBP version. But there's no reason the same technology couldn't be retrofitted to a MBP. Still, that doesn't mean this particular video is real. Quote:

yeah, but the mouse cursor moves before he touches the screen sometimes and doesn't "jump" to the newly touched spot.

Not only is the mouse pointer not supposed to move when you're simply hovering your finger over the screen (when you tap something on screen, the pointer jumps to that point, it doesn't slide across the screen), the Finder Cover Flow moved in the wrong direction when he flicked it. It's clearly a fake.

If that guy hits his MBP screen any harder it's likely to fall off!
And I hope Apple takes the other guy's idea! ![]() |

Call me old fashioned, but I don't like the idea of a touch computer. Don't get me wrong, I love the iPod Touch/iPhone. The idea of a touchable iMac is just... weird to me. Also, on screen typing would be weird.
